It seems Timex is noticing people like us pursuing the vintage military-looking watch.  They’re producing new watches in this style (and other historical-era inspired styles) and calling them the Originals Series. Quite nice, but our extensive research can’t seem to turn up any online e-commerce digital purchasizing options.  I guess you just have to call someone at Timex and ask, or wait until they hit the internets.  via Hypebeast.

In the vein of military watches and good functional design, Hodinkee (all things watches) posted about this 1940’s Hamilton Canteen watch (google it).  Someone go ahead and buy this for your Little Gentleman! Via Kempt.

Watch of the year?  Check.  This Swiss piece starts at a mere $4,500 and is the official astronaut watch in Russia’s space program.  So, you can take it underwater, on land, and in space.  All with a terrifically Patrick Bateman-esque 80’s gatorskin band.  (Via Askmen)

Not only is digital all-pervasive, it’s far too precise!  Defakto from Pforzheim, Germany, makes this watch with only one hand.  Deal with it.  (Via CH)
