FSC Barber opened today in San Francisco, at Valencia and 18th street. They’ll be cutting hair on a walk-ins only schedule and selling clothes and whatnot. It’s about time. From the barbershop chief Sam Buffa:
All the decor is antique except for the waiting bench, which we had made. The whole back bar of the barbershop and all of its fixtures were made in 1893 for the World’s Fair in Chicago. It’s all mahogany and has a Victorian feel and it won the gold medal for hand-carving!
Refinery29’s got more photos and a longer interview here.
Off to this event, most excited for Pierrepont Hicks and Archival Clothing, but here’s the full list of what’ll be there. It started yesterday and continues throughout today and tomorrow:
In what is now somewhat old news (our apologies), Unionmade now has an online store. They’re a San Francisco-based shop (Sanchez and 18th street) with great taste. Enjoy. via GQ.
