Even Little Gentlemen get old someday.  This is a fact that puts the ‘man’ in ‘gentleman.’
Photographer Tom Hussey has a fascinating photo series (shot for an Alzheimer’s drug ad campaign) featuring elderly subjects viewing their younger selves in mirrors.  Check it out.

Someone bless Freeman’s, mostly for popularizing the classic-modernized-classic Gentlemanly look (as well as providing some of the best barbershop treatments we’ve experienced), but also for this season’s lookbook.  Possibly self-deprecating and definitely hilarious, it hints at urban stereotypes such as the fakerjack and the urban taxidermist while showing off its own range of nice clothing.  Via Prosume.

Pascal Grob is a Swiss fashion blogger via his site, Fashion Bits and Bobs.  He’s 21, and a bonafide Little Gentleman.  He’s sort of like Peter Pan mixed with one of Wes Anderson’s characters; AKA: would have been beaten up a lot in the town My Little Gentleman grew up in.
He does take great photos though, and seems to have endless free time to blog and shoot– all to our benefit despite the über-mopey heavy handed fashionness of the presentation.  via GQ.

GQ’s got a preview of J. Crew’s Fall 2010 stuff.  Since hiring Frank Muytjen their collections have really been top notch.

There’s No Place Like Home is a photography collection of Yale students’ dorm rooms from the period between 1870 and 1910.  It’s fascinating to see how much effort went into these spaces, and the site has lots of information abotu the items you see in each room.
The site itself is slow to load and somewhat confusing to use, but worth the effort.  via Selectism.

The wave of vintage-looking wide angle cameras continues.  Following the success of the G9, Canon’s S90, and tons of other gorgeous little shooters comes the Samsung TL500.  F 1.8, 24mm lense, 10 megapixel- and our favorite part, a little diamondplate-textured holding area.  via Hypebeast.

Nice camera bag from Porter and Nikon. We here at My Little Gentleman always appreciate a bright- or light-colored interior to a bag for the visibility bonus when hunting for items within.  This bag also distinctly lacks both a camera-shape and prominent logos! Waterproof zippers- nice!  $260.  via Hypebeast.

Digital SLRs are great, film cameras are great.  What aren’t great are the straps they include, covered in slanty, ‘futuristic’ typefaces advertising exactly what brand and/or model of camera you’re using.  That’s handy only for two reasons:
You’ve forgotten and need to know exactly what brand and/or model of camera you’re using.
You’re around other photographers and you’re certain that your camera has more megapixels than theirs and want to flaunt it.  Cause you and I know it’s all about the megapixels.
Enter this new Etsy store that offers a vintage camera strap for less-than-vintage cost ($30).  Enjoy.  via Uncrate.

Panasonic’s Lumix line now has a micro four-thirds camera (aka small SLR).  20mm f1.7 lense, hot look, but the deal-breaker for your little gentleman is that there’s no optical viewfinder.  $900.
