Just in time for colder weather, Inventory shows us yet another brilliant move by the Japanese.  This is basically our ultimate parka - structured, functional without overdoing it, and finely detailed.  Available in four colors through two websites (and probably in person if you’re in Japan).  via Inventory.

We all know truly waterproof fabrics are never truly breathable, despite how much a jacket costs or what new tech the makers are touting.  This jacket claims the same spiel, but the cut and shape is just so nice we had to tell you about it.  The makers are Westcomb, out of Vancouver, so at least they’ll get the waterproof part right. It’s got armpit zips as well, so they’ve got the important breathability solved right there. via TWBE.

I’m not sure the term for this textural, casual/formal Japanese style, but the people at Kolor are doing it perfectly with this wool blazer.  It’s kind of a neo shabby chic, in time for cold weather, and in the words translated by google, “The original bias woven wool were put in a magic material, can not be seen anywhere else.”  You have to love when bias woven wool is put in a magic material…  via Selectism.

Outlier’s been making high-tech but minimalist bicycle-related clothing for a few years now.  We’ve had experience with some of their pants and have been very happy.
This season they’re offering an insulated vest made of New Zealand merino wool.  The nice considerations are the drop tail, the zipper not extending all the way to the chin, and in their own words, “carefully designed to avoid overheating.”  Of course it’s out of stock already, but there’ll be more.  We hope.  via Tracko.

It may be summer now, but cold will come, that much is guaranteed.  Engineered Garments has on offer a very appealing ‘Irving’ jacket.  Slightly studious, slightly architectural, a little asymmetrical- enough said.  Available through the Stockroom.

The west coast has been wet the past few weeks, and while we don’t typically endorse high-performance technical anything, this hooded rain jacket by Endura looks to be one of the best, especially for cycling.  via Pushbike SF.
