Need Supply’s offering a simple, lightly insulated vest (or ‘gilet’, depending on where you live) from Sierra Designs. Nice shape!
Wow, Freeman’s does it again. Last year their lookbook got a lot of press for the self-mockery and humor; this year they’re going a little more serious with atypical pangenderal nudity with the lookbook. Enjoy (NSFW if your office is like that— otherwise funny)!
One for the bookmarks:
“Cavalier Essentials is a line of vintage products designed for the rugged, yet sophisticated gentleman. Cavalier was always briefly explained as—“If Steve McQueen carried a beat-up leather duffle bag on the back of his motorcycle; what would be in it and how would the products look?” This simple idea married an appreciation for lifestyle design and vintage accessories. All of the products possess a hand-made quality while responding to the modern influences of today’s culture.”
Thanks, Emily!
Ohio readers rejoice! The Dredgers’ Union is a new shop in Cleveland, Ohio that also has their own line. They tout that their items are made in the USA, we like the color schemes and proportions. via Selectism.
Rag & Bone can do no wrong in our book. With summer right around the corner (and apparently in full swing in most of the US), shirts like this beach shirt keep the sun off while letting the air in. Consider it ideal for summer shirting. via Selectism.
FSC Barber opened today in San Francisco, at Valencia and 18th street. They’ll be cutting hair on a walk-ins only schedule and selling clothes and whatnot. It’s about time. From the barbershop chief Sam Buffa:
All the decor is antique except for the waiting bench, which we had made. The whole back bar of the barbershop and all of its fixtures were made in 1893 for the World’s Fair in Chicago. It’s all mahogany and has a Victorian feel and it won the gold medal for hand-carving!
Refinery29’s got more photos and a longer interview here.
At M.L.G. our æsthetic usually leans towards desaturated colors and earthier schemes. Once in a while we have to throw in a pocket square, tie, or bracelet type of accent to add some color. Another accentable option is the belt, and in this case some really colorful belts made by Garmsville. via Selectism.
Nike enlisted Jun Takahashi to come up with the Gyakusou project, which means semi-transparent, gossamer form-fitting running gear. M.L.G. seal of approval… stamped. In classic Nike collab form though, amazingly hard to find. There doesn’t seem to be an official site for it, so here are the Google results for you.
